Jesus Raises the Widow’s Son

Text: Luke 7:11

Once upon a time, in a village called Nain, there is a widow who lived with her only son. He was the only child she got. They lived together, only the two of them. They are very poor and they have no proper food and diet, they don't have good and nice clothes to wear. They are pitiful.. right??? The widow loved her son very much and the son loved his mother too... they cared for each other. The boy always obeys his mother.

One day, the boy was sick, really2 sick. They don't have money to buy medicines. It's very sad, isn't?? They did not have enough money to go to the hospital and to see the doctor. Then, the poor boy continuously suffered from a high fever. His mother was so worried and sad. She was really feared that her son might die.

Therefore, the poor boy became seriously ill. They got no medicine to take. He became thinner, he couldn't eat food. He was just lying on his bed tiredly. His mother was so worried and she just stayed right beside his bed. She was very sad for her son. She knew the boy has to be taken to a hospital and she really wanted to take him to the doctor. But as they were very poor, they could not afford those medicines and the cost of consulting a doctor. There was no one to help them and they just suffered by themselves.

Day by day, the boy was becoming weak and tired.. seriously ill. At last, the boy was dead. His mother was really in grief and was crying so much. It would be so painful for his mother. Do you think?? As the boy was dead. They were taking him to the cemetery to bury his body. His mother followed him crying all the way. The other villager also felt really sad for his mother and there were trying to console her.

While they were on their way to the cemetery, Jesus saw them. When Jesus saw the poor mother, He really felt sad for her. Then, Jesus came close to her and said: “Do not weep.” Jesus touched the dead body of the boy and told the people who carry him to stop. Then Jesus said, “Young man, I say to you, rise!”  The dead ma boy sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.
The boy was so happy, they stop crying and say thanks to Jesus. The others were also in so much joy that they praise the Lord. They say “A great prophet has risen among us!”. They also said,“God has looked favourably on his people!”. All of the people came to know that Jesus raised the son of a widow. The story began to spread among all the people and everyone talked about it.

Alright... Jesus is the only one who can heal our sickness, illness, who can help us when we are in trouble and when we need. He can take away all our sickness. He can even raise the dead person. And also he can give us the ability to do well in our study, he can give us wisdom and knowledge, beauty, health and everything we need.

Jesus loves us very much. He doesn't allow us to suffer, he never wants us to be in trouble. He is with us every day. He watches us and protects us. He is always with us while we are sleeping, right from when we wake up in the morning. He protects us from accident, storm and Rain. He gives us food every day. Do you think Jesus is good??

JESUS stays with us all the time. We should also try to be with him. We should pray before going to bed when we wake up in the morning. We should also pray before a meal(breakfast, lunch, dinner)whenever we are going to eat. Let us all try to be near Jesus and be with Him all the time. Would you like that??

May God blesses His words, Amen!
